Who Paradox are

Paradox Creative in Aberdeen & Edinburgh

Paradox was formed in 2002 by David Stewart and from the beginning at our studio in the Castlegate, Aberdeen, we have always been a marketing-led design agency offering full-service capability and the same levels of skill and experience to our smaller clients, as we give to our bigger clients.

Our growth has been entirely organic from the start with no money ever being spent on advertising ourselves - instead growing purely by recommendation of our services by existing clients. We currently have c. 900 clients on our books with well over 1000 projects per year, of all sizes, being completed. From the start we took the view that we would not actively seek oil and gas sector clients - as a result we now work for a growing number of clients in this sector (such is life).

Paradox Cotton Street Studios

In 2008 we moved to our current location at Cotton Street where we took over the Cross Art Gallery as our main studio. We have since taken over the units next door to help accommodate the 10-strong team and its' requirements.

The Paradox Aberdeen Team

The Paradox team has Ross Fraser heading our print section, Neil McIvor our web HCI and 3D person, Mike Thomas & Andrius Kucinskas adding other coding and database skills to Paradox. Erin Abercrombie and Kat Necasova are creatives based in Aberdeen, with Ellie Streether as a part-time creative while she is at college. Kim Masson adds to the mix as our admin and keeps us in order.

Recent Changes

We recently lost designer Lorraine Currie to a Frankfurt agency.
